How it started

WEX - a leading financial technology service provider - had the challenge of building brand awareness for the Corporate Payment Solutions and Travel business in EMEA.

The Travel business at WEX is a leading solution having 80% of the top travel companies. The WEX marketing team wanted to provide this travel experience during the show and - in collaboration with Money Beach Club - the WEX Cabana was born!

There are no limits on the creative side to ensure that the brand is represented and I was able to develop almost all my ideas with the Money20/20 team.

The solution

The Cabana was located at the primary walk through from the show floor to Money Beach, drawing high foot traffic. The space was fully branded, offering a networking area open to all, while ensuring WEX were reflecting their values through the cabana experience.

The results?

/ Pairing a prime location with an innovative activation gave WEX brand visibility with new and existing customers.

/ The commercial team had great conversations with key clients and partners, plus 73 meetings that generated 110 new connections.

/ A focused social media campaign on LinkedIn and Twitter supported the brand awareness outside the show through the digital channels, amplifying their activity and engagement with customers.
