August LETLET serves as the Governor of the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu since November 2023. Prior to this assignment, he was the Director General to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Management (MFEM) of the Republic of Vanuatu. He has held a number of positions in MFEM including the Director of Finance and Treasury, Deputy Director of Treasury, Principal Economist, Budget Manager, Fiscal Policy Manager and Budget Officer.

Mr. Letlet has the opportunity to serve under 19 different Board of Directors including being the Chairman of the Vanuatu National Provident Fund, Board of the Reserve Bank of Vanuatu, Air Vanuatu (Operation) LTD, Airports Vanuatu LTD, Unelco LTD, Ifira and Ports Development Services, Vanuatu Infrastructure and Investment Limited, Vanuatu Price Advisory Committee and many more.

From the Australia National University, August LETLET obtained his Master of International and Development Economics (specialization in Applied Economics) and his Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Economics. He also posses a Bachelor of Economics and Management and Public Management from the University of the South Pacific, Suva, Fiji.
