Daniel Yun is the founder and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of KakaoBank, South Korea’s prominent digital banking institution. Appointed in April 2016, his leadership has been paramount in the bank’s operational expansion and customer service enhancement. KakaoBank attracted 1 million customers in the first five days of launch, and the user base increased rapidly and surpassed 25 million in Dec 2024, representing over 80% of Korea’s working population.
