David Mahdi, a former Gartner Research VP, Identity and cybersecurity leader, is a recognized industry pioneer. Co-founder of the Machine Identity Management market, he has helped large organizations navigate digital transformation projects involving digital identity, IoT security, and blockchain.

David has guided companies in building cryptography teams such as the cryptography center of excellence; and advised through IPOs, capital raising, and M&A. He was instrumental in creating markets and defining areas such as Decentralized Identity, Bring Your own identity (BYOI), passwordless authentication, Machine Identity management and privacy-enhanced computation. At Transmit Security, he leads security research, collaborates with industry analysts, R&D and hosts CISO advisory sessions globally as Chief Identity Officer.
