Dr. Roong Poshyananda Mallikamas brings a wealth of expertise and experience in economics and financial policy to her role as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Thailand. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an A.B. (magna cum laude) in Economics from Harvard University.

Her career at the Bank of Thailand has been marked by significant leadership roles, including Deputy Governor for Corporate Development, Assistant Governor overseeing Financial Institutions Policy, and responsibilities in Financial Stability and Corporate Strategy. Dr. Mallikamas has also served as Senior Director of Financial Markets and played a crucial role as Senior Director for Macroeconomic and Monetary Policy, contributing to the central bank’s strategic direction and policy formulation.

Dr. Mallikamas has also contributed to the financial sector through her roles on the Board of Directors at Krungthai Asset Management and as Senior Executive Vice President for Global Business and Strategy at Krungthai Bank PCL.

Her dedication to economic stability and expertise in financial markets continues to shape Thailand’s economic policies under her leadership at the Bank of Thailand.
