Dr. Dipesh Shah is the Executive Director at the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), where he leads Development and International Relations. With over 23 years of expertise in international business, corporate law, and policy, he is a foremost authority on India’s financial ecosystem.

His landmark achievement is the conceptualization and operationalization of GIFT City, India’s first Smart City and International Financial Services Centre (IFSC). Since joining the project at its inception in 2008, Dr. Shah has spent 17 years driving its evolution into a globally recognized Multi-Services SEZ. Under his leadership, GIFT IFSC has attracted international exchanges, insurance firms, and major banks, with transactions now exceeding US$ 100 billion.

Dr. Shah holds a Ph.D. in IFSC—the first research of its kind—alongside an MBA in International Business and Finance. He is also a qualified Chartered Secretary from both the ICSI (India) and ICSA (UK).
