Dr. Asavathiratham is the President of the Lightnet Group, a leading fintech company

headquartered in Singapore. His extensive experience in data analytics, quantitative finance, and digital business has been instrumental in his career.

He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President, Chief Digital Banking Officer and Chief Data Officer at Siam Commercial Bank. Prior to joining SCB, he was Chief Research Officer at WorldQuant, where he oversaw data scientists in 14 offices, developing prediction algorithms for quantitative trading.

Dr. Asavathiratham has also held positions as Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch, New York, and Sun Trading in Chicago, focusing on quantitative trading. His earlier career includes roles as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company in Bangkok and London, and as an Analytics Engineer at Pivotal Systems Corporation.

Dr. Asavathiratham holds a Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctorate degree all in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he was a recipient of the prestigious King’s Scholarship from Thailand.
