Biography

Jo is Division Head of the Payments Development and Data Connectivity Office at the FinTech & Innovation Group (FTIG), Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS). She oversees the development of Singapore’s payments ecosystem and cross-border data connectivity. Jo has led key initiatives such as Direct FAST, PayNow cross-border linkages with Thailand, India and Malaysia, Project Nexus, SGQR, the Payments Council, and the cessation of cheques in Singapore. Previously, she was project director for the Payment Services Act.

Before joining FTIG, Jo was Assistant General Counsel at MAS, advising on financial regulations and trade agreements. She began her legal career at Allen & Gledhill and Amica Law. Jo holds an LLB (Hons) from the National University of Singapore and an LLM from University College London, and is a non-practising solicitor of England and Wales.
