Biography
Joe Foster, born on May 18, 1935, in Bolton, England, is the co-founder of Reebok, a globally recognized sportswear brand. His grandfather, also named Joseph William Foster, established J.W. Foster & Sons in 1895, pioneering spiked running shoes and supplying footwear to early 20th-century athletes.
In 1958, Joe and his brother Jeff left the family business to create Mercury Sports Footwear, later renamed Reebok. Their breakthrough came in 1979 when they partnered with Paul Fireman, expanding Reebok's presence in the USA.
After stepping back from daily life at Reebok, Joe remains active, sharing his entrepreneurial journey and publishing his autobiography, Shoemaker.
He participates in speaking engagements around the world, discussing his experiences and the lessons learned from building Reebok. He’s now excited to be part of the 20/20 money event.
