Biography
Jun Hasegawa is a Japanese entrepreneur and technology executive, best known as the founder of Omise, the first white-label payment gateway in Thailand established in 2013.
In his early years, Jun has founded several companies, including LIFEmee, a social network platform. His innovations have earned him numerous industry awards, and he was a finalist at the TechCrunch 50 pitch competition. In 2015, he joined the advisory board of Ethereum, the second-largest blockchain network globally, and in 2017, he launched the blockchain division OmiseGo, which he exited in 2020.
In 2022, Jun drove Omise to achieve unicorn status, and the company continues to thrive today as Omise. The company now operates in several countries including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, and the United States, providing seamless, borderless payment solutions for over 22,000 businesses across the regions.
