Biography

Mr. Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman is a Director at Bangladesh Bank, the Central bank of Bangladesh, with a strong multidisciplinary background in finance, technology, and policy. He holds a Professional Master’s in Banking and Finance from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Thailand, an MBA in Finance, and an MSc in Electronics from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. His career spans diverse roles, including serving as a Lecturer in Computer Science & Engineering at a university, working as an Assistant Engineer in Bangladesh Civil Service, and engaged as Financial Sector Consultant to the World Bank Office, Dhaka before transitioning into central banking.

With specialized expertise in SME finance policy, he contributes to developing and guiding strategic initiatives that support inclusive and sustainable economic growth. His blend of academic depth and practical experience positions him as a committed professional dedicated to advancing effective financial sector interventions in Bangladesh.
