Nikhil is the COO of EMURGO, a co-founding entity of the Cardano blockchain, where he leads strategic and operational execution across initiatives including RWA tokenization and Cardano governance, helping drive the adoption of blockchain in financial services.

Prior to EMURGO, he was COO at a Singapore-based startup focused on trade and supply chain solutions using private blockchains such as Hyperledger Fabric and Corda, where he led a successful Series A fundraise during COVID.

Nikhil spent over 15 years at Barclays in London and Singapore, working across structured credit and regulatory strategy. His experience spans improving capital efficiency, engaging with global regulators on Basel I–IV, and leading initiatives to enhance Return on Equity across Barclays’ Asian business. He also partnered closely with investment banking and relationship management teams on client strategy and cross-selling.
