My name is Nurgul Tashbekova, and I am Head of the Digital Financial Technologies Department at the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic. My work focuses on developing the country's financial sector through innovation, expanding access to financial services, and building a modern, secure digital payments ecosystem.

My key areas of interest include payment infrastructure, cross-border and instant payments, regulation of fintech companies and virtual assets, open banking, and central bank digital currency, including the development of the digital som.
