Biography

Pucktada Treeratpituk currently serves as Director of the Payment Systems and Financial Technology Policy Department at the Bank of Thailand (BOT). He leads BOT's policy formulation for fintech innovation and tokenization while overseeing the BOT’s Regulatory Sandbox. His work facilitates the responsible testing of emerging technologies, including stablecoin, digital identity, and AI, to foster a sustainable and inclusive financial ecosystem. Previously, he was a Research Section Head at the Puey Ungphakorn Institute for Economic Research and a Deputy Director of Data Analytics in the Data Management and Data Analytics Department at the Bank of Thailand.

He holds a B.S. with triple majors in Computer Science, Economics, and Discrete Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Language Technology from Carnegie Mellon University, an M.S. in Computer Science from Stanford University, and a Ph.D. in Information Science from Pennsylvania State University.
