Rishi is the Director, Data and Insights for the GSMA's Mobile Money programme. He leads the annual State of the Industry Report on Mobile Money and is responsible for the programme’s data and insights work.

Before this, Rishi worked for Pula Advisors, an insurtech that provides insurance to smallholder farmers, and the GSMA AgriTech programme. His previous experience includes roles at McKinsey, Willis Towers Watson and the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

He holds a BA from SOAS, University of London, and an MA from the University of Groningen. In 2020, Rishi became a Certified Digital Financial Practitioner. He speaks French and Kiswahili.
