Datuk Shahril Azuar Jimin has been Maybank’s Group Chief Sustainability Officer (GCSO) since March 1, 2021, leading the Group’s sustainability efforts focused on environmental, social, and governance (ESG). He drives the integration of sustainability initiatives, policies, and goals across Maybank Group.

Previously, Datuk Shahril held key leadership roles, including CEO of Maybank Foundation (2014–2021), Chief Commercial Officer of Maybank Ageas Holdings Berhad (2012–2014), and Chief Sales Officer of Etiqa Insurance & Takaful (2008–2012). He also served as CEO of Etiqa Takaful Berhad and Chairman of the Global Takaful Group.

Datuk Shahril holds an LL.B (Hons) from Staffordshire University and has completed executive programs at the University of Chicago, Oxford, and Cambridge. He is a Council Member of the 30% Club Malaysia, promoting diversity and inclusion, and chairs the ESG Committee of the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) since 2022.
