Victor Yim currently leads Cyberport’s AI & Data Science division, following 3.5 years as Head of Fintech, where he expanded the community to over 430 startups and strengthened Hong Kong’s fintech ecosystem. He also serves on the board of the Fintech Association of Hong Kong. Victor’s fintech leadership included close work with regulators on initiatives such as the GenAI Sandbox, and he has spoken at major global forums including Money20/20.

In his present role, he focuses on accelerating AI adoption across Hong Kong by building a strong AI community and collaborating with regulators and government on industry-wide implementation. His strategic perspective is shaped by a 20-year career at TransUnion, IBM, and other technology firms, where he helped pioneer eKYC solutions widely used by banks.

Victor holds a first-class honours degree in Computer Engineering from HKU and is now a PhD candidate researching NLP in sustainable finance.
