Dr. Waqas is a seasoned digital technology leader with over 17 years of professional and R&D experience working for global organizations. Waqas joined the Bank of Punjab (BOP) back in 2021 and currently working as Divisional Head for Data Analytics and AI in the Digital Banking Group. Prior to joining BOP, he worked with General Electrical (GE) in USA and UAE. He received his Ph.D. in computer engineering from Purdue University, USA. He has published multiple research papers in international journals and conferences, and has been granted 7 patents for his innovative research work in the fields of data analytics, visualization and product design.
