PhyGital: Uncapping the next wave of consumers for digital financial services
In the context of development in emerging economies, the significance of human interface remains high despite the wave of digital-only products and companies. In a country like India, where 80-90 percent of its 1.25 billion people earn and spend in physical cash, the widespread adoption of digital channels will remain a challenge. In order to democratise financial services and deliver it digitally to the last mile, this session will explore the 'PhyGital' approach and why a mix of physical touch-points that leverages digital capabilties, has the potential to address the major middle and last section of society and provide access to financial services conveniently, cheaply, efficiently and faster.
