Tokenised… But Not Usable: The Missing Mobility Blockchain Layer in Finance
Thursday 23 April, 11:10–11:30
Overview
Speakers
Description:
This talk explores why so many valuable assets in modern finance, from inventory and receivables to loan portfolios and tokenized real-world assets, still remain difficult to finance, transfer, pool, or use across institutions. Rather than focusing only on asset creation or tokenization, it examines the deeper problem of asset mobility: what it actually takes to make value portable, understandable, and usable within a broader financial network. The session argues that the next phase of financial innovation will depend not just on digitizing assets on the blockchain, but on creating the structure, standards, and institutional-grade blockchain rails that allow them to travel safely and efficiently between trusted parties. For banks, fintechs, and digital asset builders, the talk offers a practical framework for thinking about portability, collateral usability, and the future of more fluid financial infrastructure.
